Create a tool from a prompt
Choose Create with AI and describe the purpose, inputs, desired output, and any constraints. Generate draft uses the configured agent in your selected project and shows its progress and elapsed time. Stop generation cancels the request.
Choose Review and edit draft to adjust the name, description, instructions and suggested capabilities, then Save tool. Nothing is saved automatically. Generation uses only integrated capabilities and does not add executable code or new external services. If AI is unavailable, use Create tool for the manual form. The public demo returns a labeled, prewritten sample without calling an AI provider.
Define a useful tool
Choose Create tool, name it, explain its purpose, and write the instructions for its output. Select the integrated capabilities it may use. For example, a paper-comparison tool can extract supporting evidence and produce a table of experimental conditions.
Use it in your lab group
Add your tool to a custom agent in Agent market, or choose it in a workflow Research tool step. Tool steps restrict execution to the selected capabilities within existing project permissions. A saved run keeps the versions of its agents and tools it started with.
Customizing a built-in agent creates a copy. You can rename the copy, change its skills and tools, and add it to teams. The original agent remains in the catalog.
